This live performance combines Butoh dance with video projections, exploring physicality and movement while reflecting on Japanese female identity, tradition, and the body through a contemporary, post-human lens. The event is organized by Performance in Flux as part of Body and Technology, a series of performances curated in the context of IGNITE Broward, which examines the interplay between body and technology. is a curatorial platform presenting experimental performance and video art by emerging and established artists. The initiative creates dynamic, immersive experiences that explore the intersections of body, technology, and media, offering audiences opportunities to engage with innovative artistic practices. By presenting works across galleries, festivals, and alternative spaces — including the 2025 Luminaria Contemporary Art Festival (TX), Immerse Fest 2025 (FL), Miami Art Society Gallery, and Colour Sense Gallery — Performance in Flux encourages dialogue between artists and audiences, amplifies diverse voices, and highlights the evolving possibilities of performance and moving-image art.
